Ouch. Linen tends to be tough too. So hopefully aside from shock, she is ok. Lucky you have access to lots of skirt guard pics and ideas from the past here. Something that I am surprised isn’t an option more often seen these days with more families going car free.
Aside from a scare, my wife is ok, thank you Dave. Now that you mention it I am surprised as wel.
I was thinking about the wires ropes that are 'hooked' between the fenders and a bracket near the rear shaft.

Like this Victor 1894 (link) ladies bike

They sell these skirt guards on Ali express under the name rear seat safety net. Amazon too.

I took my trusty Elgin for Old Bikes Club monthly ride on Sunday. Small group of the core guys from the beginning with no real plan. We checked out all the new amenities of the National Western complex & explored the area around it. It almost felt as if we were being guided as many "how does that happen" moments along the way that were more than coincidence.:13::13::giggle::tmi::whew::21:

Chillin' at a park after cruising the complex in the background...

Ran into a lovely lady that prepares & delivers delicious Ethiopian food in the area. I was born there & the 3rd "One Love" reference of the ride so far...

It was an epic day that finished in the dark & we had an absolute blast!!

On the way back we spotted this '32 Ford in a lobby. A 1:1 scale in cardboard!:cool:

I love talented people! Need to go back when they're open for a close look.🤓

Picked up another trailer on the other end of Berlin, way up in the north (I live in the south west). To get up there I took the S-Bahn to save some energy. The way back was around 30 kilometers. With a few stops it took me about 2 hours to get the trailer home...
Pick up at the location:

Folded down to not create to much wind resistance

Nice bridge to take a pic on the way back. It was below zero when I left off...

The kind of stop you do not want to make. I passed the location, where just last Friday a new Ghostbike was installed to commemorate the last victim of Berlin traffic🕯️🖤 I took a few minutes to pay my respects.

The Firemens Fountain at Mariannenplatz. Here every last Friday of the month the Berlin CriticalMass starts at around 8 p.m.

Back home. And this trailer will get a splatter board as well, when I'm done with it.
