the progression of bmx and skateboarding in particular is insane, both technical and the bigger distance of air/hang time, among other things I'm an oldskool skater from the 80's when I was in England (I wasn't very good but could do the basics) my friends were good though but at the time it was like ollieing down 5 steps and doing various grinds and ollieing up curbs at speed was a big deal,( did anyone find animal chin in the end,I was in the bones brigade era, a great time period to be in) now what these kids can do is truly mind blowing and fearless, thanks to rodney the godfather of flips who inspired generations of trickery sk8ers, I can't say for bmx as I didn't really follow that scene but of cause I know Andy ruffle (80's England) and matt hoffman( read Matts book, awesome to read, what a guy indeed) and a few others like Ryan Nyquist
