What year is my Chicago Schwinn Super Sport

Schwinns vin number was on the rear dropout 1952-1964. Could it be one of these?

i dont recognize that serial #, i do know what headbadge your talking about though but i dont know the years they were on the bikes, a pic would help me get a ballpark year and then narrow down the serial # from there. some of the higher end road bikes were outsourced to someone else which sounds to be the case with that serial #. or you could have a frankenstein type situtaion were parts were taken from several bikes and combined to make that one ridable or customized.

what color is it, and describe the decals(solid white script,two tone block etc..)

i have an 81 like this,but by then, it was a 15 speed

i havent found any serial decodes that would exactly match what youve got based on that # given, im just gonna guess its a 1970 bike being the second digit youve listed is "0" but according to whats listed in this link there may be another number (possibly hidden by the axle bolt/skewer maybe ???)

Solid White script. witha star in the middle of Schwinn and Super Sport
It is a shiny almost metalic (but not) metalic
it is blue

ok let me tri to describe this.
there is a triangle like hole through the dropout
the D7004 is on the diagonal of it
under both axels it says Huret in cursive.parraelle to the bottom of the dropout

well if it's a 70 i'll stand corrected, it would be chicago built. i think the greenville bikes were mid 80's.

honestly im not a road bike guy, i know parts sometimes varied from year to year, but the super sport sounds to be just a step below a paramount so the parts are probably the higher end stuff for schwinn for the age of it. does it have a chrome fork ??? i believe the early (pre 70) bikes had chrome tips.
