Wheel size question.

My 26" wheel measures 24 3/4", I have another set that measures 25 1/2". I don't have the tires, or tubes, so I was wondering what size they are. The wheel on the right is a 26" wheel. Thanks, Dean

25 1/2" sounds like the outer diameter of a 28" wheel, tire size: 28x1 1/2 or 700B or 40x635. That's all the same, just different names.
Have a look here, there is a drawing of how to measure a rim for the tire size:

Be precise when measuring, do it in inches AND millimeters, just to be sure.

that also could be an english 26. i'll have to go find one of mine and measure it tommorow. if it is they take a ood size tire but you can get em from your lbs.
