I would go with just GOODYEAR or spoof it up like Dave Deal and go with GOOD🐰BOOT with a Playboy rabbit in between.

I'm going to add white letters to the rear tire. Owner likes Good Year, so that's what he's getting. So, opinion time. Good year makes a drag slick called the Eagle.

I'm going to use white letters, since yellow wouldn't really look right on this bike. So, here are the options:

1) Go with "Good Year" only.
2) Go with "Good Year"... and "Eagle".
3) Go with "Good Year" and the tire size on the facing side (20 x 3.0) [A lot of bikes showed tire size on their RWL tires]
4) Go with "Good Year" on one side, and ______________ on the other side. (Your option. "Drag Slick", or something like that)
Current top fuel model runs the Eagle designation

Cut the bridge off.

Going to move the bridge up just about an 1/8”, but taking up a little more room by setting the mount higher.

Set it and tacked it.

Then set and tacked the tab, then added a fender bolt through the hole and takes that in. Will give a cleaner look.

Next is to finish out those welds and smooth it all in.

Interesting turn of events. As you know, this bike is being built to complement some show trucks and cars. A truck he is having built will be complete in July. This is the engine:

So this may affect some of the aesthetic of the bike. More to come…

Unfortunately I don’t think I’m going to make deadline. I’ve lost too much time to the heat. I finally bought a swamp cooler, so we’ll see how that works in this 100+ degree heat. It’s supposed to be 113 next Saturday.

Anyway….

Had to cut off and fabricate and weld on a new rear fender mount. It was slightly off from our first attempt and I couldn’t allow that. So it’s done. The frame was looking rough because it’s been a while since I had it sand blasted.

So I took it to work and smoothed it out. I also took some time to smooth out the welds which weren’t done with the greatest of care.

I know what you mean about losing progress to the heat. It hasn't gotten as hot here in DFW or back home in Tulsa, but I just can't handle the heat like I used to. I might even have to drop out of the Build Off myself, or switch to a project that I can work on in smaller doses during the morning.

Glad to hear you're still making progress though! Can't wait to see that Huffy come together!

Sorry for the delays brother. I can relate to the heat, but ours is a moist heat. But at those temperatures, it just doesn't matter. Hot is Hot!!!
