the old shimano three speed coaster brake are on the left side
where as the non coaster brake (freewheel) are on the right side
when i'm out thrift-en it's a quick way for me to tell if it's a coaster brake
the brake arm is the tell tell give away
Ponytailmike walks in to thrift store and see a bike that was not there the
last time in. He looks and see a three speed shifter on the handle bars...
The excitment is starting to well up inside as he gets closer to the old bike.
He looks down, the shifter on the left. He looks for the price tag and
see's $9.99 and thinks SCORE. At that point he has a death grip on the bike
as he proceeds to the register. Ponytailmike is soon out the front door and
loading his new found three speed coaster brake in his truck.
To await for the next project.
what can i say "gotta love the three speed"

make sure you also let him know what size(length) youre looking for!
i tried using that cable from that huffy on an old typhoon but didnt work(way too short!) the one i got from my lbs was alittle too long and i made the mistake of trying to cut it shorter and it was destroyed!(i could post pics of what the inside looks like :roll: it wont work cut down because it slides(cable and housing at the same time :x )
never had any problems with the hub.... just those odd ball cables!

ill be goin by there on sat Steve ( if the ice doesnt shut him down ) do you know what length your lookin for for sure or i can just find out what lengths hes got.
the only positron ive had is a 5 sp derailer with only a high gear adjustment on em, i wasnt aware positron had i.g. hubs too :!:
