Perfect! 2nd pic is the winner! Maybe try with the globe and headlight litView attachment 242509?
Thank you @hbn ! That edit looks amazing!

The globe is on (see green reflection on pavement) but it is hard to see in direct light because of the refraction. As for the headlight... it is generator powered. I am going to get the rest of the bike together, then see if there's time to make a conversion.

Man, that thing looks looooooong out in the wild!View attachment 242513
Mega cool
Thanks @MattiThundrrr ! Yeah, the stance is juuust right. Definitely feels more chopper than lowrider (in handling/stance), which I was hoping for. It really rides nicely now that I tightened up the suspension a hair. Can't wait to get the rest of it together!

I still need to see my grip options in the daylight, but as of now, I am sticking with the orange. The blue/green (spruce) grips disappear on the bike and my eye just gets pulled to the front wheel. I will ultimately have a hubcap on the rear as well, and am confident that the grips will kind of pull the eye along the length of the bike (front wheel, grips, to rear wheel).

Now, the bike isn't fully assembled yet, so I really can't make a final judgment without the full ensemble...but orange is winning so far. I will try the spruce again in daylight as well as these beauties...

These are identical to the blue, western flyer, glitter grips I tried to revive. These should arrive in time, and may be the happy medium between the orange and the spruce. Stay tuned...

Great night shots... How does it ride?
Fantastic! I added a tension bolt to the springer so I could tighten up the suspension. Initially it was too 'mushy' , but now it rides great, and the geometry is just right, so I can stand to take hills as well. It will scrape if you keep the pedal down on the inside of a turn, but it has plenty of clearance on the straightaway.

Here we go! It's hubcap time.

Though I initially set out to do a zoetrope on the hubcap, I am going to have to forego that addition for this build. HOWEVER, I am still working on the zoetrope, I'm just having to do triage in these final days.

No roller? No problem!

I am using my completed caps from Pink Panther. Once the zoetrope is finished (sometime in the future), I will swap them out.

I wanted to French in the license plate, but it just didn't look good with the tiered shape of the hubcap.

Part of it was the proportions as well. It's a slightly larger bicycle plate (motorcycle maybe?), so I went ahead and put it on the sissybar.

Most excellent build! Great doodaddery for sure! BRAVO!

Did a few more shots with the orange grips. But not before realizing half of my hub was starting to shift? Realized I forgot to match up the stamped lettering on both halves.

The mounting holes match up perfectly if you match the stamping as well. Otherwise, there is a subtle offset to the holes that cause a shift over time. So here I am in the parking lot removing the wheel, and reassembling the caps 😭🤣
