WTP AVENGER

Last week I rebuilt my 2018 Avenger with some of the parts I recently removed from my 68 Typhoon. The wheels less the 7 speed hub, cranks and brakes were originally fitted to the Avenger. Before fitting the wheels I removed the roller brake from the 7 speed Nexus hub as the Avenger has a rear v-brake and fitted the platform pedals from my Electra straight 8. I also fitted a longer lever for the front brake which never worked well with the factory fitted 2 finger lever. She's a pretty sweet ride now.

The seven gears are cool but I think 4 gears are enough for urban cruising after riding my recently converted heavy duti yesterday

Yep, like the old stormy archer shifters, Low, Normal and High.

First long ride on the Avenger today. Used the top 4 gears only for most of it. Smooth, fast ride and much quieter without the roller brake rattling away over bumps. Compared to my bigger Kos Kruiser i find myself using the middle parts of my feet when cruising on this bike.
