You could always put The Springers back on The Copper Machine...
and get a set of Struts...( or make struts from Power Stearing Line Tubing )
for this bike.

I think this one would look equally as nice with a set of struts that
follow the same angle as the Springer Struts...

Then find some Cheapo Mountain Bike Wheels with WIDE Rims and Paint
them Red for this bike.
and you have 2 finished bikes that look WAY COOL...on a decently low Budget.

my 2 cents
peace,
Kev.

Here's the difference between wheel colors...

I like the chrome, Enough red with the frame, Shes lookin good MAN!!!

Thanks guys...I think the reds are gonna stay.

One thing though about this bike....you need thighs like Carl Lewis to be able to pedal around on the thing. I think I'm too used to my Marin with the Nexus 4 speed. I ride it up the street about a block and I'm ready to get off.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this one more enjoyable to ride. If I had the money I'd invest in a Nexus 3 speed for it.

I've always wondered about that. My first inclination (besides a 3 speed hub or something) is to use a sprocket with a smaller diameter, or to find a hub cog/gear that has a bigger diameter. I guess that would be like keeping it in a lower gear constantly.... wouldn't be very cool to go fast on, but atleast it would be easier to pedal.

Has anyone ever been able to put a bigger gear cog on the hub of a coaster brake?

I love it when a plan comes togetha.

Newbie here, just got into this site and I love it but would like to apologize now for running the price of the bike up to 50, I am the one who was bidding against you.

Welcome aboard man....all is good. $50 is usually my limit on these things and yet still a crazy bargain for this bike.

Look forward to seeing you do an Intro.
