Not much sadly. I have done some walking about over Tower Bridge and London Bridge. My office has great views of the Shard, so I'll take some pictures before I leave. May go to Big Ben after work tonight, I leave Friday AM,so it's my last opportunity.

I am new to the forum and was given a bike almost exactly like this one. Mine has white grips that say Super Jet on them. Looking for info on that model. It is also a 1956 from the serial number. MSO 502 4534. HELP

I've actually made a little progress on the bike. Took the NOS dropcenter rims, large flange track fromt and the SRAM Automatrix rear hubs to my wheel builder over the weekend. Have a little something 'special' in mind on the wheels.
Got the frame and fenders stripped, dents worked out of the fenders, working on the rack now. I'll do a big pic post once the color is on. Here's a sneak peek of the fork. The paint on the steertube is original, the new color is Toyota Barcelona red. It's a good match, it has more of a metallic flake than a candy, but I like it so far.

Heading to my LBS to pick up my wheelset....NOS dropcenters, NOS large flange front track hub, new SRAM Automatrix rear, stainless spokes....can't wait to mount those fat 2.35 Solana whitewalls on them!

I'll post some pics later today.

Cheers,
Dr. T

Here's the wheelset fresh from my LBS. The rims were a little rough around the clinchers, so I sanded them smooth some emory paper.

Here are some shots of the hubs, I really like the way they look with the dropcenters.

Chose Zefal fabric rim tape and Hutchinson premium tubes.

And here ya go! All buttoned up with the 26 x 2.35 Bontrager Solana whitewalls. They are nice and fat without any graphics on the sidewall. Another bonus, these can be inflated to 50 psi, so they should roll forever.

You can see how far past the rim they stick out, love that!

As the weather is warming up, so is my pace on this build.
Stay tuned......

Nice wheelset!

With this bike being a resto-mod, I couldn't resist replacing the kickstand and seatpost clamp with some rechromed units from 'rusty513'

Thanks to rusty!
Making SLOW progress on the bike itself.
If anyone has a bezel and visor for a Delta Rocket light, let me know....
