Hey Jon, I really wasn't in a wheel chair too often. They forced me to walk when I could. On the whellchair bike idea, that's been in my head every since Gigs had her sugery last year. Got quite a few of the parts for it, just haven't had the time. This year I hope to get the "Ricksterr Trike", The tandem, my mountain bike, and the "Slck tired bike" done. By then I should have the time for the "Wheel chair bike". I know it's alot to do but that's my ambitious list at least.
Maybe Gigs can grab a couple of pics tonight of me strutting my stuff!
Thanks Ricky! It's great to know that I had such wonderful friends (like yourself) backing me on this one! Gigs and I can never repay all you guys and girls for your friendships!
About your wheelchair bike, there is something similar on ebay right now, but I think its with a wooden chair with bike wheels and stuff. I don't have a link but a search should bring something up if your interested.
Chainsaw is getting better and better.
Last week the physical therapist that has been coming to the house said, "Well I can't show you anymore stuff to do without repeating what you already are doing" So she won't be coming anymore.
We still have a nurse coming twice a week.
We are going to tissue specialist a couple times a week. With all Chainsaw's water weight his skin on his legs was seeping. This caused sores and he also got infection in his legs. What they are doing is wrapping his leg to help push some of the fluid up his leg and out.(they are only doing one one cause with his heart surgery they don't want to push too much water up. Especially with the one surgery where they took the fluid out from around his heart. They don't want that to happen again.) He has gotten alot of fluid off since starting this. He entered the hospital at a weight of 257, he had a fluid gain up to 312  . He is now down to 226 .
We have a machine at the house that keeps track of his blood pressure, weight, heart rate and oxygen levels. This machine sends the information every morning to the hospital where a nurse keeps track of this.
Every doctor that we have seen in the last week thinks that Chainsaw is doing great.
Just thought that I would update you guys on how he is doing.
like a well greased bicycle machine !!!, wish i could lose some weight that fast but i think id like to find a different way to shed off them pounds !!!
