I do like that one better overall myself. I thought the one with the 66 sign behind it representing Route 66 was a less distracting background though. But I do think that you can see the handlebar design better with the mural photo. I decided to swap, I agree.

I did have it that way initially and chose to go the other way. I felt that it helped get the exhaust wrapped look down a little more with these versus the cable tie. Definitely appreciate the input, thank you!

Finally got the stem.

Nothing new at the moment. Waiting on stem still. And been away from home dealing with a death in the family. i hope to get to the seat this weekend.

Waiting on the stem to arrive. Added another piece to it. I definitely need to touch up the red striping, but overall I am pleased with the look.

At least one set of hoops, maybe the maroon fenders. Good opportunity to try to build my own set of wheels.

Changed out the seat and added the grips. I like the look and the seat positions is much better when riding. Only thing is, the seat is too clean, so need to dirty it up a bit I think. 😂 Still need to change out the stem and have some things to tweak, but definitely pleased with the build...

So simple yet looks really good. Those tires could bump it up another level. But either way, I dig it.

Decided today to get It rideable. I put the original crankset back on as I like the mag style. Put on the white chain that was prev on the bicycle. Added the Wellgo bear trap pedals and connected the coaster brake. Oh, and took @OddJob s advice and finished the wrap out the right hand side.

GT Smoothie 26x2.5 tire arrived today. Because the lettering is darker on the smoothie, I’m okay with the white sides on the rim. But I may do what @OddJob suggested and go full red on the front. I will eventually find a different stem for the handlebars. And I am leaning towards the red 26”...

So I will probably go straight up on the bars. Maybe a bit back depending on how it feels when all together. Rear GT Smoothie arrives today so I can get a better feel of the overall look. I plan to change out the stem, will check LBS to see if the have a better stem for this build. I’m...
