Put the wooden "tank" on the bike sandwich style and this is what I got. When I get some time, think I'll take a shot at some striping and more lettering. :shock:

Wish I could, I work on weekends. Norwalk is Norwalk, but the San Gabriel River bike path runs right behind my house, so I'm not complaining.

I hear you. Up until recently, I was working every weekend. Now I'm back to real estate sales so I kinda get to choose my weekends but I still do them when showing houses to clients or for open houses.

Sounds like you take advantage of the SGV back path, I would. That path takes you through some neat areas but I've only seen it from the freeways, never ridden it. :D

Yup, the forks lowered it well. Because of the design and condition of the bike, the lower stance gives the bike a "hot rod' look I was going for as opposed to a "lowrider" look. I even considered painting the forks to match the rest of the bike, but I like the way the chrome springer fork sets off the bike. Thanks man.

Well, at the risk of diminishing any kind of perception anybody has of me as a kick-butt designer, I have to admit that the only reason for the placement of the front fender is because that's the only way the forks would allow it to fit... Oops, dang, let the bunny out of the bag! :oops:

Thanks man. So since this site is called "RatRodBikes".com, I figured I oughta make a rat rod lookin bike (or as close to it :? ) out of this old beauty.
