Anyone know what his early girls bike is?

Thanks for the help so far guys! I know the seat was a brooks. The chain guard wraps around the entire chain which is neat. The rear hub is a new depaurture, and has hand brakes for the front, and a coaster for the rear. Any idea what this thing might be worth?

Anyone know what his early girls bike is?

Picked this up at a local auction, and am going to sell it, as it's a shame to take apart for parts. I have no idea who made it and am just looking for some info. The only numbers I could find is "637446". I believe it's from the teens, but not sure. ANY help would be great! Thanks in advance!

    Oiling down old paint

I think the look your asking about is when the original paint has a new clear coat on it. I'm not sure if you lightly sand the paint, or just clean it really well and the spray it with glass clear, but it's done with clear coat regardless.

Can anyone on here add threads to my Monark headtube?

I don't have the know how or patience to fool around with this. I'm trying to make a ladies Monark springer fork fit my schwinn frame. The headtube is to long, and the easiest fix seems to be to add threads to the tube, and cut off the excess. Is anyone on here interested in helping me out? Am...

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

I tried using my stock schwinn fork, but the arms are to short. So I'll have to get another fork I guess. Where did you get the fork you used?

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

Just went there, and they said they don't have the tools to do so, but they could mail it away and have it done for upwards of $200. I don't mind shipping it at all, just don't know what else to do.

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

So I just got the monark fork in, and did a test fit on my schwinn frame to see if everything fit in place, but nope. The tube on the fork on the monark is way to long. If I welded the tube from the original schwinn fork to the monark fork should everything fit OK? Anyone on here with a welder...

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

I really love the light, just hope once I get the fork, I can get it to fit. Also thinking about getting a yellow bulb instead of clear.

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

Heres the cleaned up badge: Here are some pictures of the exact spotlight I will be using. I must of somehow cracked the bezel on the light in two places, but I don't remember doing it, so if anyone has a bezel or an entire light for parts, PM me! And heres the tin I want to use for the...

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

Got the schwinn headbadge in the mail yesterday. When I saw the picture in the ad, I was planning on repainting it due to the sloppy paint job, but was undecided on the colors, but when I got it, I played around with it and now it looks great. All the excess white paint has been removed. Will...

    Hello from New York!

Army style. I'm using a 60's schwinn frame, though. I wish I had a ww1 era frame to work with, though!

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

I also bought this badge off of ebay: And heres the fork I just picked up: Does anyone know if I can add the springer part of the Monark fork to the stock Schwinn Typhoon fork? And heres the spotlight I have: I have to try to figure out some kind of mount, ad it doesn't have the regular...

    Schwinn Typhoon ww1 build

Hello everyone! I started collecting parts for my build. I love the looks of ww1 military motorcycles, and want to follow through with the style with my build. The frame is a Schwinn Typhoon frame (not sure of the year). I picked it up for $10 as a mostly complete bike, minus the front wheel...

    Hello from New York!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Will, and I live near the Catskills in New York. I'm currently building a ww1 style bicycle build, and will be posting about that in the build section. I'm not new to bikes, have been fooling around with them since I was about 6. I...
