Man, I've actually got plenty of step-thru bikes I could enter in this next Build Off! I'm even working on the digital mockup for this AMF right now!

I've also got 3 Murray Flight/Spaceliner frames I've been thinking about building; one chrome, one patina teal, and one rusty brown...

...this prewar Murray Monark...

...And my Aunt Suzanne's Western Flyer I've been meaning to put back together since I pulled it out of Grandad's shed a few years ago. And these don't even make up HALF the amount of step-thrus I've got!

I also have plenty of muscle bikes I could work on as well. It's just a matter of picking out which one(s) I want to build and coming up with a plan for each of them.

I won't say "I'm in" yet, but I'm very interested in this Build Off combination! This could be a fun one!

That's quite a group to choose from! Should be able to come up with some cool builds out of there somewhere!

What is the criteria for using a DNF build? Does it have to be completely different from the original build off version? Or, does it just need to be completely tore down to be rebuilt?
“Usually” we like to see both. Changes should be significant

The fear would be somebody that built a complete bike, but just missed submitting their finished bike thread for instance. It wouldn’t really be fair that they enter it in another build off and it’s already complete. The rules state that the work needs to be done and documented during the current contest.

Its case by case though

Seventeen days
Your case 17 days then a 2 week stretch of build then 1 1/2 months of random pictures then another 2 week stretch of ram it all together and just fall short 😂 (I've tried encouraging, screaming, so I'm thinking ridicule might motivate you)

Shhhh, no spoilers, you're going to ruin the ending. Lil Thundrrr is going to be my taskmaster this round, maybe he'll get better results

I dunno....."if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a ......." 🤣

(as if I have any room to talk, having nothing but DNFs to my name.....) ☹️

😂😂

This is how far I made it last year in the mbbo. If I’m unable to disassemble and then complete the build, I may want it moved to just a build journal if possible. It needs tons of work and sits in this state. Needs a new hub set up and some mild additions and changes

No, dude, you can't re-enter that thing. You're just going to have to send it out to me for safe keeping. Y'know, to reduce temptation.
