Re: School Bangin' Junker I'd steal it! That is a cool frame. Is that the 51 DX fork I sold you?

Iver Johnson Barn (cellar) Find, 2 of Them

Iver Johnson made inexpensive guns, but really nicely engineered and built bikes. They also made motorcycles from 1907 to 1915. The company was located in Fitchburg Mass. The mans bike has a block chain which would make it quite old. I have a Racycle with a block chain (roller was optional)...

    41 Colson Bullnose

PB blaster + heat + patience + muscle seems to work for me. I have been working on 5 bikes I pulled from a junk yard in north west Michigan. I have gotten most of them apart using the things I mentioned. Good luck with yours. A really cool old Colson.

    motorhead & rev. horton heat

Went with Ambman and another buddy to the Motorcity Casino show. Was cool to see both bands, but the sound was kind of muddy. Horton Heat's set was really short as well. I think I prefer seeing the rev. on his own. He put on a great show at the Magic bag theater last winter.

Re: 1890's chop finished Great job! Those curves must have been a lot of work. How does she ride?

Some cool finds from a north west Michigan junkyard.

I would like to go back again. I might even try pulling out a bunch of Schwinn cantilever and straight bar frames to resell. Ambman is right, I bet the buildings have a bunch of great stuff in them. I got to thinking "hey where did all the parts go that were missing from the piles of frames...

Garage magazine does a couple of articles about early BMX

The current issue of Garage magazine has a article/interview with Stu Thomsen. They also do a article about Gary Turner. Gary is the original owner, designer, builder of GT bikes. Both really good articles.

Some cool finds from a north west Michigan junkyard.

With the way our economy is in Mich. you could pick-up a 3 bedroom ranch with a 2 car garage for about $50,000. A fixer upper for less. Most people I know can't sell there house for what they owe.

Some cool finds from a north west Michigan junkyard.

It is actually near a small town called Fremont. You will need to get in touch with the owner Lowell. It took me almost a month of repeated emails before he finally called me and we set-up a visit. His prices seem to be all over. He charged me $50 for a pile frames and parts, but then wanted...

Some cool finds from a north west Michigan junkyard.

My friend Ambman and I went to the junkyard that Greystoke mentioned in a earlier post. Thanks for the heads-up Greystoke! After driving nearly 4 hours to get there we spent almost another 4 hours hunting. Unfortunately the stuff has been sitting out in the weather for a very long time and...

Picutures from the Aug. 29 Goodguys in Norwalk Ohio

Sorry Karfer, no close-ups. I can tell you that it is a Pontiac 4cyl. that runs in the F/Econo class. My dad's friend ran a AMC 4cyl in a Spitzer chassis in this class back in the late 80s early 90s. I'm not to sure of the rules, but I know it was normally aspirated 4cyls with automatic...

    20 minute klunker

My parents got this 1988 Schwinn cruiser from a garage sale. I combined it with some parts from Wally world BMX and mountain bikes to create a klunker. Left-over parts!
