I agree, they are great riding bikes despite questionable build quality. The Geometry is actually the same on these as on later CWC's. AMF bought CWC and made their bike on the same blueprint.

That western flyer is sweet. I was actually prepping mine to sell a few hours ago and noticed they stamp the date of manufacturer on the rim.

You might check that multispeed chain will fit on that sprocket before you assemble it

What do I think the value would be? with a mechanical resto, back fender and tank and keeping the original paint I'd expect to get about $400-500. with a repaint, about $350. original is in demand more than restored.

A waste product of being into bikes is worn out chains. I've been saving them because I feel like something creative can be done with them, however I haven't come up with anything. What can I be making with them? What have you made?

hmm, wing nuts on wheels, quiless stem, bearing cups built into the lugs, handbrake and aluminum rims that looks like they were added later. This looks like an old six day racer that's been modernized a bit. Bikes of the time were extremely small batch, you are not likely to find more pictures.

I bought these two frames and was told they were schwinns, the tan one might be but i'm not sure about the green. not sure if it's for 26" or 28"
