    Bike Rack on old car?

If you put an 1 1/4" or 2" receiver hitch on it the possibilities are a lot better. Hitch mount racks don't care how old your vehicle is...most of the newer ones practice "age discrimination." 62H

has any one used a jesse james chopper bicycle for parts?

We have one that we have configured in numerous ways. It is mostly intact right now. Never really thought about parting it out... What Schwinn frame do you plan on putting the fork on? The headset/steertube of the WCC chopper fork is 1 1/8", so it won't fit the older stuff that needs 1". 62H

    My New Rusty Rat

That light should be great in the snow...melting it in front of the bike, clearing the way. Awesome. Can we get some detail pics of the "ghetto skip tooth" drivetrain?

Dropbar to flatbar road bike conversion

All Knowing RRB Community, If I am going to convert a dropbar road bike, with traditional caliper road brakes, to a flatbar ride, what type of brake levers work correctly with the brakes? I am thinking standard mountain levers, non V brake type, so that they're pulling the proper amount of...

    the Navigator - DONE!

Re: the Navigator Nice ride. Is that some "engine turning" treatment on the chainguard? If so can we see a close up of it? Thanks Scott

    Winter Rat

I made a set of tires that way once. Using some mostly worn out Specialized Ground Control with dimpled knobbies. I drilled from the outside in (sort of a pilot hole) using the center of the dimple to keep everything aligned nice. Then I just drove the screws from the inside out. I used screws...

    chopper forks question

You can remove the legs and cut them down on most of them. I used a large tubing cutter on the legs of a bike I did for a build off on here. Just remember to measure twice and cut once.

    Seen at Sears

Happy New Year Chainy (and Gigs!) He's already up, he's as tall as me now. He is severely distracted by the fairer sex now too...where all the trouble starts. We hope to make the Can Am in July, so you can harass him in person then. Please say "hi" to Dirty Betsy for us. Scott

    Seen at Sears

In the Christmas Decoration clearance section yesterday. Small pewter ornaments of a screwdriver and another of a pair of slip joint pliers. Marked down to $5 each. Would be neat used as intended or to add to a Rat Rod project as finishing touches.

Wow, you've been busy. I did not know until this week that Apocalyptica started out as a 4 piece cello Metallica cover band. (lots of vids on Youtube) Most of their songs have been 4 cello players and a drummer. They have guest vocalists from popular bands on the new album.

Post your most recent music acquisitions here. Maybe we can help each other discover some new artist we would not have found on our own. I'll go first. (CD's) Guano Apes - Proud Like a God Tantric - Tantric

    ACDC tickets

"Remember when you cranked up AC/DC to tick off your parents?" It still does. But when my kids crank it we just start singing the lyrics together. \m/ \m/

    Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

I think that MS/HS aged kids that are into all the older stuff have been greatly influenced by Guitar Hero and Rockband, check out the playlists. I am 41 and my kids are 18 and 14, we listen to all the same stuff. When I think about liking what my parents listened to when I was that age I feel...

    Suicide breaker?

How about using a motorcycle throttle? You could mount a brake lever to the chainstay and work it with your heel. I think someone did something similar on here a while back.
