So I started the breakdown and rebuild of the 46/47 CWC / Western Flyer that I picked up last week.I was trying to clean the seat and even though I was very gentle it ripped right in the middle.I will now be redoing a seat cover. I found myself looking through my wifes purses trying to find one...

That bike is awesome !!! Clean,grease and ride it. Just keep it intact. I love those fender skirtguards and springer. Great find. 8)

Thanks again. One last question. Is there any way to tell what kind of bike the black one is by any of its characteristics? The guy I got it from said probably a Hawthorn, maybe a monark. Here are a couple of pics of the black one.

I just got home with these two ladies,found them on CL. The guy tells me they are both 40s. One is a Western Flyer,skiptooth appears to be all original,has basket too.Rims look like they will clean up ok. The 2nd is a Monark or Hawthorn he didnt know for sure,there is no head badge. It is not...

I am selling most of my little Tiki stuff.It is just sitting in a spare bedroom not being appreciated.Not a lot of stuff but a nice addition to any collection. A few of the items...... a set of 4 tiki mugs 2 really cool tiki statues approx 10"-12"...

REI carries a decent tool selection.They have Park and Pedros. There is probably one near you,if not you could get them online.

Who cares, after all they are just bikes.I enjoy the heck out of them,but when Im gone,well...... :wink: I like to think on a more positive note that my daughter will say some day "remember those bikes Dad used to ride all the time, he sure was happy" 8)
