The same thing happened to me with my 14 year old son (now 16) and my 26" SE OM Flyer. I put 9.5" rise bars on it and he thought that it was the best thing since sliced bread. I haven't ridden it since.

So do I leave the stock fork on , or swap it for a straight bmx fork? If so, black or chrome?

I've thought about just buying some used SE 29" rims (found a set locally for $100), 700x38 tires and a chain to swap onto my Schwinn Heavy Duti when I feel like it, instead of building a complete bike as funds will be limited until November. After measuring, I'll have enough room for the 29s.

I was actually thinking more of a cantilever cruiser frame. I'm going for the big bmx cruiser look with 700c or 29er wheels and tires. I like 700c x 38 size tires.

My next bike project will be a 700c cruiser. I want to use an old Schwinn frame. Are there certain frames that will accommodate 700c wheels and tires better than others?

Does this need a primer?

What color yellow would you call this and where can I find the same color to repaint the frame?

This bike is in desperate need of paint. My initial intent was to paint it lime green and get all black slick tires, but the yellow is growing on me.

Went for another 11 mile cruise this evening. Hey, it's Father's Day! I can do what I want! 😜 I Could ride this bike all day long. I just need to get used to the seat. I haven't ridden in a while, and my tookis isn't used to being in the saddle for that long. I'll just have to keep riding. 🤘🤘
