I have wanted an Ultimate Support Pro workstand for a while because it is super compact when folded, but didn't want to shell out $200 for what amounts to a fancy bike holder. One appeared on CL 2 days ago. 20 minutes later, it was mine. I was so excited to pick this up!
Next up, a bit of an...
Picked this up about a week ago. Hmm, what is lurking behind that chrome spoke protector?
Since I bought it, I've found the correct parts to complete it... more pics after it is refurbished.
I've never really been a road biker, but after my knees killing me from doing 22 miles on a cruiser, I'm looking into using a road bike for longer rides. So, I was at this yard sale and the guy had a Fuji Roubaix with full Shimano 105 gruppo, except the front wheel which is a hand-built Ultegra...
Found this at a moving sale today. It's an aluminum bike made by Kinesis USA, and is an oddball bike from ~2001 that I can't find much info on. All I know is Kinesis bought Mountain Cycle in 2001 and moved out here to Portland, then sold Mountain Cycle in 2006 and went back to Taiwan. Kinesis...
I saw a garage sale listing that had a "benotto road bike" (several hundred dollar Italian bike) and a "pink cruiser bike"; it was just down the street. I went there and asked about the Benotto right when they opened. Some guy camped out for two hours before the sale and early birded the Benetto...
Picked this up a couple of days ago for a really great price. It the only bike I have that is younger than me, and I love it.
1996 Kona A'ha Cruiser with 18" frame. Pretty uncommon Cook Bros. style 26" mountain/BMX/cruiser hybrid which was the predecessor to the "Stars and Bars" curved tube...
I briefly mentioned the deal I got on this 26" wheelset in another thread and they arrived today. They are pretty different from anything else I have seen. I can't figure out what these would have come off of, so maybe they were custom built?

So, we went to a bike collector's "divorce sale" to see if he had a bike for my gf (we are looking for a 5 speed green Collegiate for her), and also to see what kind of middleweight stuff he had. No dice on a Collegiate. He had a few middleweights hanging in his shed, and his asking price was...
UPS just delivered it. So far, the plans are to remove the fenders, paint it black, get the crank and chainwheel rechromed, and get a taller seatpost made. This is my first bike build... what a frame to start with, eh? 8)
Just joined the ranks of the rat rodders. Picked up this 1961 Schwinn American at a garage sale for $40. Not entirely sure what all I'm going to do to it yet, but it will probably end up being my commuter bike. I do know I need taller handlebars, a middleweight front fender, and the wheels are...
