I've been wanting to build a lowrider for a long time, and have finally decided to just do it. I'll be working with a Ruff Cycles Esco V5.0 frame (http://store.ruff-cycles.com/ruff-frames/ruff-cycles-frame-esco.html), and will give her a Tropical Turquoise coat, complimented by chrome & white...
Hallo,
Inspiration for this build is a comfortable adult size cruiser with the looks of a 80's BMX bike.
My Build off 13 entry started life as a made in USA, 1986 Huffy Savannah 10 speed Bike.
This bike was purchased at auction and was most likely stolen and abandoned.
Outstanding original deep...
For those who don't know BMX THUN is one of the strongest one pc cranks ever manufactured. They weigh in at 2pounds and 2oz.
They hold the true claim of being unbendable. They are unbendable, unless run over by a bus or something. Here is a old school Thun Crank for offering. 50.00 plus actual...
Hello everyone,
I'm offering something here which seems to be a bit of a unicorn, in the hope that someone doing a retro build can make good use of it. I'm no expert on the topic, but I get the impression that it will be valuable for someone out there....
The fork in question is a Bullet...

I just love these old cruisers
I was lurking here the other night, and was looking at a thread, "Show us your Cranbrooks," something like that I believe, and there were some entries posted "I have a Good Vibrations, same bike basically " Maybe the new ones are, I don't know, but they are...
Selling my custom built October 1979 Schwinn Cruiser. I had the frame and fork powder coated candy apple blue and applied a set of vinyl reproduction decals. The wheel set was professionally built using new Sturmey Archer internally geared 3 speed freewheel drum brake hubs, vintage chrome...
I posted this bike a few months back kind of in a mock up form. I had pretty much abandoned the project because of some personal problems I had to resolve. Well, in the last week, I decided it would be a good idea to get started on it. Honestly, I finished this thing a lot faster than I...
All,
Some of you who have purchased my 3-Bar looptail frames know my history with Clayton at Emory Bicycles. For those that don't Clayton is a friend of mine and based on the response that was generated with the old 3-Bar looptail frames that I got from him we are exploring a small production...
Just finished this Schwinn Cruiser this week. Had a spare frame and fork set that I took over to Jacob of Ideal Coatings last weekend and he powder coated it candy blue for me. I ended up using the wheel set I had built up which had the Sturmey Archer 3 speed rear drum hub and the front drum hub...
I built this 70's Schwinn Cruiser up a few weeks ago. Scored the new set of blue anodized coaster wheels from someone online who had a spare set. They've got 12 gauge spokes and spin really nice. Wald 898 bars with AME Unitron grips and a Mongoose Gold stem. Running a Person's springer saddle...
I just parted a 1966 worksman, keeping the frame, fork and wheel set but selling everything else.
Most parts are dirty and have a 1960's patina. I havn't cleaned anything up, I'll leave that up to you.
Pics tell the story.
Worksman fenders front and rear some dings, oxidisation and patina...
Hello. I'm really quite new to the bike culture. I just bought a felt cruiser. It's a single speed with coaster brake. I wanted to know what tools are essential to maintain this bike properly and what tools are pointless to own? Thanks.
Picked up a China Huffy Cranbrook frame. Put some mismatched vintage wheels and tires on it and peeled off the stickers. Rode OK. but wanted to try a "LocoJoe" type chop.
Here it is.
Uhh, got a little carried away with the disc grinder!
Memo to self, Next time remove chain guard before...
