Haha! I was so busy laughing at your pun earlier that I forgot to respond! I like the headers in the lower position too despite the fact that the higher position gives it more of the gasser look. I was cool with the tall valve covers but I think @BobbyStillz idea to shorten them was really good. I really like your idea to trim the valve covers to fit around the headers to make them feel more like part of the head, like on an OHV motor. If you go with the finned flathead idea, which I love, then having the headers stick straight out of the block would be good too. Looking good! Are you planning a paint scheme?

Thanks. Still undecided on the valve cover ornamentation. Got the pipes mocked in to the valve head section of the tins today.
I don't have a detailed plan for the paint scheme yet. I have a few different ideas floating in my head from inspiration pics I have been saving off of hot rod roadsters. We'll see what combination feels right when the time comes.

It's always fun to watch your process. I'd been on the road for a few days and the pic-heavy threads are sometimes slow to load, so I had many pages here to catch up on. Great work, as always.

Look what I saw when visiting the kids doctor with my older one...

That steering looks pretty jankey, could use a rebuild...
And now I'm sure in the back of your mind, you're planning an instructables on how to make a swing pushcar
