I remember seeing pics of those before. Cool, but I wonder how strong they are.

I'm thinking triangulate them so that they meet the "stem" in a triangular pattern, and they'll be plenty stiff.I remember seeing pics of those before. Cool, but I wonder how strong they are.
In your free time you should make a set !I remember seeing pics of those before. Cool, but I wonder how strong they are.
I'm surprised at how badly it was out of line. Like you said, it must have been made for a different frame (year, manufacturer, etc.). I'm sure that you'll make it unnoticeable by the time it's finished.
Looking good! & JB Weld is great stuff!Still needs some purty work, JB Weld strengthining, and metal work up front, but it's getting there.
Will that be your shin grader [emoji13][emoji106]I can fairly easily build out the front section using roof flashing, but my mind is working on ideas for a grill of sorts.
May have to go to the kitchen supply store for some ideas.

King, check out Alvins lab metal. Like jb weld but more pliable. It's pretty cool for touch up and making new form out of epoxy powdered aluminum in a paste. http://www.cshardware.com/tools/cla...t-lm-06.html?gclid=CKbChoSPiMYCFYMCaQodyXYAuA[emoji106] Looking good! & JB Weld is great stuff!

Local Fastenall shops carry it as well as Wal-Mart online. I love fastenall, MacGyver could have shot a whole series out of that place. Thanks, that stuff looks pretty good. I'll have to try and track some down and try it.
Yup. I'm gonna try to make a head badge out of it.Yeah, I know a Fastenal place on the way home. From what I can see online it looks like you really need the Solvent too to feather it out.
