I liked the Big Dogs, but I think you're right the Riot pedals fit better....

Yeah, all of them are cool in their own way. But I like the Riot the bet with this build so far.

It not light. Even though there are so many aluminum parts, a lot of them are pretty beefy chunks of metal.
I like that heavy look. And the only way to do it is with a lightweight material. "Heavy aluminum" is just a cool concept. And I'll bet it rides super solid. It would make a great high speed downhill racer.

I got this BOXKARS shifter along with the one I put on Speed Demon with funds that I earned from selling more BOXKARS shifters on (you guessed it) Billy Buenos Random Prize Drawings page.

I love the one on Speed Demon and plan to mount this one is a similar fashion on the downtube. When you order these, you can get the mounting insert done in whatever size/shape you need it. I think it is just a 3D printed insert. But when I ordered this in the middle of covid, they were short staffed and having supply chain delays, so I got the standard diamond tube insert. I'll be able to "machine" down the approximate hex tube shape good enough for it to grab securely.

Well once I got the cabling connected, the Nexus 7 shifted great............BUT............

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there seemed to be something not quite right with the wheel. I then noticed that it would wobble left a right. At first it seemed like the hub guts just weren't tightened down enough, but I tried that and the looseness was still there. So, I pulled up this YouTube on how to disassemble a Nexus 7 hub. First time I've done this with a Nexus 7.

Here are my pics during the operation. I always do this for reference for reassembly, or general reference later.
Shoutout to the little one buck Activity Tray from Dollar Tree!!! Gonna have to get some more of these. I honestly can't say that I discovered what was loose. Everything looked to be in great condition inside. Lubed it back up, put it back together and it feels solid and performs fine. Feels like it was a 2+ hour detour, but these kinda things are sorta like meditation sometimes.
