Ok, wow. I FINALLY managed to catch up on all 29 pages of your HEXtreme build, and I've got to say, you keep knocking it out of the park! I honestly don't think you'll be able to get 11th place with this bike, because at this point, the RRBBO might as well be "The Kingfish and Friends Show!" The rest of us are all just competing for 2nd at this point, because how do you top this?!

What's craziest to me is that when you started this thread, I wasn't sure how you'd improve on a Silver King Hex Tube bike, but once again, you showed just how much potential this bike has for customizing! If I didn't know anything about this bike other than your last mockup photos, I would have thought it was a brand new factory-built bike! It doesn't even look like a 1940s bike anymore; it looks like a modern take on a classic motorcycle-inspired bicycle, like something Harley Davidson or Indian Motorcycles might roll out as a collector's item!

I know there's still a bit left to finish on your bike, but it's already a showstopper. All your custom touches go together beautifully, and you've successfully breathed new life into this 70+ year old bike. Out of all your bikes I've seen so far, I think this is your best one yet! Great job Kingfish! Well done!

Yeah, it took me a while to go through it all. I wasn't just looking at the photos either, I read just about every post and comment on the thread. It is tough to keep up with everyone's builds, but it's worth taking the time to do so. I just need to do so more often.

You're welcome Kingfish! I could tell you're enjoying this one going through all your updates. I know what that feels like. I think it's called "scope creep." I had that sort of thing happen on my MBBO trike last year. I'm sure you'll be able to finish your bike in time. Just keep on keepin' on! And again, you're welcome!

I meant to post something cool that we saw Sunday morning. We live in the heart of the Landmark Historic District in Savannah and while we have Squares and parks, there aren't any ponds or lakes anywhere nearby. So you can imagine our surprise when we saw a momma duck and her little ducklings outide on the sidewalk.

Here they are crossing our street.

We followed them down the sidewalk until they turned into a side corridor of one of our neighbors where I took this video snippett of them waddling to their courtyard. Later we heard from other neighbors that saw them all over the neighborhood. We have no idea where they came from but I sure hope they found their way out of the city safely.

A while back I picked up a couple of the Molotow Liquid Chrome paint pens from Hobby Lobby after seeing some of the results here on RRB. @Dr. Tankenstein got one of them and when I saw how well it did for his stem touch up, I had to search for mine again (I've been trying to find it for over a week now). Well I found it under this and that, so I went to town on the Iron Cross taillight .

When you are applying it, sometimes it seems like you are pushing mercury around, and you think the pen marks are gonna look like crap, but then as it sets, it just sorta magically self levels smooth. There may be a couple of surface faces I need to refloat later, but not much.

This should look much better than the temporary black housing. Now I have to make a custom hexagonal cable guide to replace the chrome tape.

I needed something a little more refined than C.A.D. for this, so I decided to do some P.A.D. and picked up some posterboard.

Just like the chrome tape cable guide, i am going to place the guide so that it hides this funky frame blemish.

Molded and creased my PAD piece around the hex tube.

Then transferred those creases to my home depot aluminum.

Then layed out a little extra flare.

After cutting the darts, i started the hex bends. I am pretty pleased with the results.
