The 8 solves the issue of unmatched grips. B&M handle looked at odds with the pale bar grip

Not really thinking about color matching anything just yet, because no color or shade or patina is set in stone yet. I still look at this build in a monochromatic lens for now.

Best choice in my eyes.

I'm not against the project346 knob, but I am leaning towards something larger. We'll see once the build gets farther along.

I put all my chips on the B&M. The asymmetric element is just the right highlight to an otherwise symetrical build. Eyecatching, but not distracting. Aesthetically effortless, yet intentional.

Did a temp mount of the 8ball and went for a dusk ride with my friend Chris and his HeaviDuti. I really like the heft and size of the 8 ball. It actually shifts better than with the small stock knob.

It's amazing how much better the wheels look with just those little 1.5" hole covers on them.

Had to stop and get a pic with this killer Spyder!

I remember doing that on the Decoluxe drop stand bolt covers.

That is an excellent idea! I could even make an arc to blend in with the pattern of the discs, but I like engine turn circle better. Thanks

Usually done on a milling machine. You would pick an end mill bit with a face cutter just for turning. Moving the table with each cut.

Could possibly stick it in a hole saw or something and turn it with a drill? Use some gritty Emory cloth.

I would suggest grabbing a 1/4' bolt, hot glue it to the center of the plug on the back, and then chuck the bolt in a cordless drill. After that spin it up by holding a scotch pad or fine sand paper in the palm of one hand and the drill in the other. Once you're done, heat up the glue with a heat gun or hair dryer to remove the bolt. Repeat and rinse as needed! Easy peasy.

Scotch brite on a dowel in a drill press preferably. If you have instagram, check out craftyb for lots of this type of info.
