The hubs and rims are a must save. The tires and spokes will get trashed. They are both way to far gone.

This will take awhile.

Shame about the stem. I heard those were fragile. Better now than later.
Great work on the fenders, guard, and cranks.

This whole thing is going back together nicely, will look great when done.
Sucks about the stem, but if anyone can find another it's gonna be you.

Before I cut out old spokes and rebuilt the wheels, I wanted to see how bad they really where. I was really surprised how true and strong the wheels where once I cleaned them up.

Also, I test fit a set of period correct tires.

I'm wondering if you have an old New York Times newspaper bag or something like that.

I'm really hoping to make this a rider before Saturday. I'd like to take it to the beach with me so I can get some real riding time in. That usually helps me figure out what I do or don't need to do going forward.

Beach looks great.
I'll be in Savannah Saturday, hoping to have a view similar to that.

I love baskets, recently found a 48 Spit-Fire with a awesome jerry-rigged front basket.

Nice beach! Is that what they call the Gulf Shores area?
