Quite the transformation you have going there, SSG. That double straight bar, and your elbow grease on the yellow paint; doesn't even resemble your starting point anymore. Def have to post a 'before' photo in your final Finished Thread!

It's not quite as blue as it looks in that photo. It's more of a light gray with just a hint of blue.

The paint work on the frame and sheet metal is nearly done.

I don't care how careful you are, you always end up with a few chips in your new paint when you start assembly.

Totally fooled me with that extra bar. Had to scroll back to see what frame it was. Be nice if you had a more obscure sprocket. Schwinn clover might give it away. Cool build!

I didn't get much done today but I got the fender braces riveted and located the proper seat clamp to fit the new seat to the tiny schwinn seat post. Here's a sneak peek at the bike mocked up.

Ya' gotta love those smoothed out Schwinn welds, and you replicated them perfectly. Well done, sir.

I cleaned on the rims a bit this afternoon. It's slow going work getting the remaining paint off the spokes and hubs.

The wheels are painted and distressed. I've ordered the tires, tubes and rim strips so they should be here shortly.

I also blacked out the sprocket.

I found a piece of scrap for the frame plate.

My stencil set was too large so I had to draw everything by hand and cut it out with an xacto.
