50s JC Higgins

Picked up this 24" JC Higgins on Saturday from a CL ad. Also came with a rear rack, but for a 26". Bike is kind of small for me to ride, but I will from time to time. I really like the "patina". Both wheels need to be trued and I might change out the blackwalls for some whitewalls.

Also, picked up this seat from the same seller.

cool bike and i love the... color. personally i think it looks great as is with blackwalls, but that is just me. i have a 63' jch and put whitewalls on it. a month later i changed them back to blackwalls cuz they just looked better to me, but i have whitewalls on most others.

great to see so many jchs on the road still and yours is sweet.

The more I look it at, the more I agree that I should retain the blackwalls.

cool bike and location for a photo. The black tires are reserved for the rats. Only the fancy bikes had whitewalls.
