A try with a motor

Looking good.

I'm lazy I tend to use rattle can paint stripper then take the rest off by hand.
Angle grinder with wire wheel tends to be way more work IMHO.

Something in Schwinn paint doesn't seem to like
paint stripper. Where normal paint will peal right
off this stuff is like a plastic paint. When you weld
close to it you can see it will come loose and then
turn back to a plastic like state. I hate it. Almost
got it all off though.

Well my buddy Chuck's generosity with the final parts. We cut
another seatpost tube out of a junk bike, and hopefully I'm going
to do an added seatpost to give the frame a farther back seat
position. A worksman wheel with a drum brake and a really cool
rack. Will try installing all of them tomorrow and shoot a couple
pics.

Well I kinda have mixed emotions on my added seat
post idea. I figured I would cut the top off of the front
seatpost and weld it up. So Now I guess i will look at it
a while and make a decision.

Yeah I should have just thrown the motor on the stock
bike and been done with it, but that doesn't seem to be
my style. I have to change something or its not fun. I did
get the worksmen front drum wheel on. Still need to weld
a block on the fork to keep it from spinning. My shop is
totaled with all the grinding grit/dust . Feels like old times.

Just bored Luke. Hope your doing ok.

I am trying to decide on a fake tank or just a gusset with speed holes.
My wife is liking the gusset idea.

Yeah that is what my wife said. I thought a fake oil box would
look better. So I guess a gusset and let the tubes show it is.

Yeah I guess having the extra seatpost show will look
a little more custom. If I did the box it would cover it
up and look just like a regular bike. Its easier to put the
gusset in too. lol

Its funny, I'm betting my Brother in law is wondering why I
didn't just stick the motor on the free bike, from Chuck and
let it go at that. lol. He probably didn't understand the mind
set of a frame builder. Its not easy to build a stock bike.
It has to be changed to look better than it was, or else its
not worth messing with. A two hour build has turned into
a project not a put together.

Thanks Deorman. This thing is defiantly going to be stronger than
a stock frame with all the extra gussets. I added the others to
make up for removing that one middle bar. Won't be any worry
about the motor vibrating anything apart.
