So this makes 3 whizzers now but this is the first I've found that's actually a factory Whizzer.

The extremely rare huffy 90 with factory Whizzer J motor.

Got a late night peek inside the old Broughton country store. The owner showed me around and there it was.

After a week worth of Cleaning, tuning, readjusting etc....This whip is back to life.

Don't say that TRM! I'm gonna try to get on a payment with him and steal it in the middle of the night, he knows I'm a sucker for a Huffy.....shhhhh, maybe he's not listening......[emoji12]

Your going to have a fleet before it's over! This may be the coolest one yet.

Something cool about a factory huffy Whizzer. They're rare because very one thought a huffy wouldn't support a motor like a Schwinn could. Nobody wanted them. Kinda the Edsel of bikes.

Let me know when I can come over and drool over it, OK?

Sounds good, soon I hope.

Why can I not find things like this?

I've been offered one of the modern whizzer ambassadors, but not sure if it's worth it. And it's not as cool as the originals.

Yea they're pretty cushy, the guy said the clutches are junk but can be replaced with older or repop parts.

I figured if I bought one I'd go old school chopper with it. King & Queen seat, fish mouth exhaust, springer all that stuff.
If you noticed they don't have peddles and are 138cc, so legally a motorcycle not a motor assist bicycle.
The guy has three, all with just a handful of miles. He won't ship or part so it's good he's local, just have to decide if I really want one.

The Whizzer has fiyya

Wish I could post a video but after about 4 hours of...

Cleaning the crank case. (Black jelly oil)

Cleaning out the bad gas (old yellow jelly gas)

Cleaning out the carb (brown jelly gunk)

Making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (grape jelly)

Adjusting the points

Checking the timing, gaskets, and cables.

I just knew it would start right up and she did! Man that Echo exhaust is loud! Especially for 1:30 am!

Serial number 8H-1948

Factory J motor, factory rear notched fender, thick fork struts, WD front hub and bent crank arm.

This is definitely a huffy 90 but is not like the others I've seen.

After a lot of tweaking, it does run.

Looks like original blue paint with red repaint

Love that seat, cool old sheep skin cover.

Has anyone else seen one of these with a j motor?

You guys should hear this one, it does NOT sound like a simple motorized bicycle. That exhaust is LOUD![emoji12][emoji1360]

This bike is stout indeed.

Thanks for hanging out today, many good memories in the shop!

And yeah, loud is an understatement.

The exhaust is called an echo pipe. Echo really isn't the right word.
