I've been putting off this job, as I dislike polishing aluminium lol.
But I finally made a start on the wheelset for this one.

The rims were looking a rather scruffy on the braking surfaces. I started by sanding them with 400 grit on the da sander.

I went through about 10 discs per surface, so around 40 discs all up for the two rims.

I gave one brake surface a quick buff on the bench polisher to check the surface/ progress.

Need to work down to some finer sanding grits before polishing, can still see sanding swirls in the finish, but looking loads better already. Happy with how they're progressing.

Picked up some supplies this morning to have a go at making a diy padset.
Matches very well to the Brooks saddle and grips.

Them put them on the bike for a visual, but feel the edges look unfinished.

Used some adhesive, folded the edges, and clamped them up to dry.
Hopefully the glue does the job
