If you'd like a set of flat fenders like the first picture I have some that are mint. Came off of a JC Penney Wild Rose bike. Let me know if you need anything. I got it for the tires, apes, seat, and some hardware. Everything is rust free and clean.

That's very cool of you, thank you. I'm definitely thinking about what else I might need for this build. That bike is clean. Must be a low mileage garage kept special, very cool!

If Pondo doesn’t get those fenders, I might be able to use them on my MX build.
I'm not going to stand in the way of that! I'd love to see what you do with them. :cool2: If I had the fenders they would probably sit in a box until I had a project that desired them. I think I'm probably going fenderless on the Cheater Slick, or maybe chrome fenders. If the Wild Rose was local I'd probably pick up the rest of the parts for a future build but I think the shipping would be cost prohibitive.

This 3.0 slick is a BEAST!

So I mounted it. Bottom line: it fits. But it’s real close, especially at the seat stays by the brake brace. I could spread it to try to get a little more clearance, but I’m worried the pressure would snap the tack welds on the brace. If you can weld, it’s not that big of risk. I wanted you to see it first, then make the call. (You can tweak the wheel a little to center it up, but still there isn’t a lot of clearance)

But that tire really improved the stance of this bike!

Whoa! That thing is looking killer! I'm loving the huge slick. No worries on the cross brace. I've got plenty of welding technology in the garage so we might just go ahead and cut that brace out to spread the frame and then weld it back in. Looking kool, man. I'm looking forward to giving it some paint and polish!
