i work 2nd shift so i'd be riding home after midnight, plus the shortest route is about 9mls and includes a road with no shoulder that i wouldn't want to ride even in the day time. now that i think about it, i'll have to measure what i think is the safest route, but i believe it'll add about 2-3mls to the trip. i'm playing with an electric idea though, so that might still work if i were able to make something nice and efficient.

3mls though, that would be great. i envy you that.
Have a look around the eletric stuff you can make some pritty quick stuff that would make the distance :)
 
Sweet, love that tank, I feel ya here in J-ville, my commute to work is about 10 miles away and to many crazy drivers.
 
Working 14 hours today, until 11pm, but didn't use a bike to get here. First time not riding in 2 weeks. 11pm is right in the middle of drunk driver time along Mayport rd, so I stay off the sidewalks too. Normally it's 5am and 6pm on the road.
