That's really overpriced for a gas motor OCC. I see those on my local CL for $300 often. The conversion kits are cheap, and apparently everyone that buys one thinks that a cheap walmart bike is a good idea to slap them onto. That looks like a better motor kit, but still, way high, I see 1000W fat ebikes selling for less...

I cant post what Im picking up later tonight, but rest assured they are scores ;)

I've posted this one in this thread and the previous CL thread over the years. But here's an update. In at least its 11th or 12th year listed that I know of, since I first saw it when I moved to where I am now. But has probably been on longer than that. Was at $350 when I first saw it. Drops price a little every 5 years or so.

Ya, there's a guy near Madison WI that keeps posting a 1980's Toyota wagon that does not run. Over and over and price stays the same, must be over 2 years now....

But a $20 bike listed at this price... for 12 years! The dedication is what is most surprising. I've owned bikes for that long, but they aren't crap and I wasn't trying to get rid of them.

By the year 3535 it should be right at market value at that rate...

Who knows... Maybe the old "English" Three Speeds might be a hit in a few years, once everyone figures out how ridable thay are..By then they'll be pretty rare.:p

DJ Bill, You are right, the old 3 speeds have their quirks - but are pretty good bikes. But I like the ride of bigger tires myself. I think the issue is sellers who are somewhat delusional and keep trying to sell an item for much more that its worth in the real world.

There ya go, an old 3 speed fitted with big cushy tires.. Or ...A lightweight Cruiser with an old 3 speed hub.. Aw heck, I'll ride anything with air in the tires.

Here's my current favorite, I'm still deciding whether to keep the 26 cruiser tire on back and swap a multispeed hub in, or to go all out with a mate to the front (Also 3 speed..) Even as it it isn't bad on the flat. That light frame sure helps.

And to keep this on topic, this was a Craigslist buy , along with this Firestone Cruiser Ladies bike. I just asked if he had any other bikes to get rid of and he basically tossed in the Pac-Schwinn for the original asking price.
