Heres my new Sparker next to my Cruiser 1!

Heres my 2005 Ratrod, havent seen anyone else in this thread with this one. I picked it up in Fort Collins CO when I lived there briefly. Drove 1000 miles back to Illinois with it stuffed in my tiny 2 door Ford Escort, handlebars jabbin me in the ribs the whole way, but it was worth it. I have made a few changes to it since that picture, but not many. Lost the chainguard, put on some new pedals, nothing crazy yet.

This one is being shipped to me from a friend back in CO soon. I bought it for my girlfriend so we can cruise together. I am not 100% sure what kind of electra it is, I knew at one time but cant remember now, any input would be cool.

Not only are both of these Electra cruisers super sweet, but they're also pretty rare!
Electra only put springer forks on their cruisers for a couple of years, and silver Rat Rods are more rare than black ones.
The Electra Navy is a highly-sought-after bike because it was only made for one year and has the all-American theme.
Here's an unofficial Electra website where Electra fans post pics of their bikes, talk about mods, and organize group rides:

I just today (Sat 3-24) picked up my' 1st' Electra, a Jester (surprised there isnt one in all these 42 pages!), a little rough from some poor packing while moving, but super low mileage, so I scored it anyway. Its a springer model, web shows it made 2002- '05......red/black; I can see some ratrod potential.

Update Sun. 3-25: I did a once over on it, swapped out the cruiser bars for a Townie style and put on a set of NOS Dyno Fireballs; rode it between projects today. I see what ya'll mean about these Stream Ride models being comfy for bigger guys (Im 6'1" x 205ish); feels just right (with the saddle higher than the pic shows). Nice ride quality and the Nexus 3spd works well with the 44/22 sprockets. The deep red, black and chrome looks 'right', too, but the Schwinn Phantom guys knew that.

Nice score on the Jester!
Just an FYI that the Jester is the only version of that frame that's made of aluminum.

My frame is steel!, sticker says so and a magnet sticks. Going through some old online specs. info it looks like only the very first year was alum.?, and it had the all chrome springer. Subsequent models had the steel and 'black main frame' springer (which is mine, an '03 by the code). I know you gotta watch out for spec info; there are a lot of inaccuracies out there.
As Im new to these, was the Jester just not very popular?

Here's my Ratty 8.

Sweet! I like it a lot!

Heres my allmost stock S8, planning to go the way yours is.

I took the Ratty 8 apart again.
I'm going to transform it into " The Superbird ".
Here you can see more about the bike, and what my plan is.

@ alaska. The top Ghostrider has 24x3" wheels on the back and 24x2.5" in the front with the stock Fatti-O tires on it. This is pretty much the widest setup possible on this frame without major mods. The rear hub is a S/A 8 speed with 130 OLD that BARELY gives me enough chain clearance.

The bottom Ghostrider has the stock rims/hubs and on the back I put a 24x4.25" tire and it also BARELY has enough chain clearance, but fills out the rear nicely:) Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! Your bikes look great! Does anyone know what the width of the stock ghostrider rim is?

My straight 8....first pic is the day i got it, second pic is today.

Reflectors removed
headlight added
horn added
apes/grips/mirror added

coming up:
relocate shifter to frame, create suicide shift
pinstriping on fender/frame/fork
try to get a ford model A tailight, convert to LED and battery pack, and install.

That last one i may need some help on...ive got no elec experience.
