anybody have Slater by Felt? or maybe real pictures of it?

After a four month wait I just got the Slater from my local bike shop. It is a totally different color than what shows on-line (kind of like a dark or midnight metallic blue). Front wheel was supposed to come with a drum brake hub based on the on-line specs when I bought it. It showed up with the basic 5-star hub. Felt's response...tough luck, return it if you don't like it.

It is still an awesome bike though. I am planning a motorized conversion with sealed top tube to hold fuel, 24" rear wheel with a wider tire and possible a dyno hub drum brake in front to power a headlight.

Here is my Felt El Guapo. Ditched the ape hangeres and seat. Cut 4 inches off the tops of the forks after sliding them up in the clamps to give it a lower, racier look. 1950's Coca-Cola bottle opener mounted to the seat post tube and a flat black lever-actuated bell mounted under the seat to the seat stays. Headlight mounted to front axle. Also cut 1-2 inches off the top of the seat post tube so I could slam the seat lower.

I've been trying (almost) daily for one of those New Belgium Felts....Do you have it in hand yet? If so, how do you like it?

this the latest edition to my felt family,it is a canvas that the guy at the bike shop owned and i striped it for him in gray and black and did not charge him for my work,so he gave me the frame of what would become of "LACY LUCILLE" well then i heard he was selling the bike i striped for him he had it for sale for 350 and i got it for 300,so then my friend tevis and i made the # plates for it like an old board tracker.i redone the pinstriping and hand lettered the numbers on the plates and gave it the name of "BLACK JACK"

Finally nearing completion of the Hot Wheels conversion! Finally sold off the parts I didn't need, painted the frame/wheels and got my new parts in from Felt. Couldn't find Thick Brick white walls to save my life so I went with the Fatass by Nirve. Love em!! So she's almost ready to cruise. Chain and guard tonight and then grind on the bar end plugs til they fit. Used Valspar flat red on the rims and Valspar flat black to cover the obnoxious Hot Wheels graphics. Going to eventually do some lettering on the tank area. Love this bike now :p
