....a ride to work! My ride of choice was my winter bike. A Foremost badged Raleigh wearing Humber fenders and a swap meet chainguard. A quickie throw together that performed flawless. Kinda light too!

That just made me laugh.Your post lit up a memory for me. My family moved from Michigan to Southern California in December of 1963. It made me remember when a 60 degree day was shirtsleeve weather. The first couple of years here in Orange county I couldn't believe that anyone thought they needed a jacket. Now I'm a complete weather wimp, and 59 degrees seems like punishing cold. On the January Cyclone Coasters ride we got rained on, and I was joking about earning our official Hard Core badge. I guess that would be medium soft by east coast standards.
