I fell in one of the canals once because I thought it was a road. There were plenty of empties down there today, it's still going strong
I jumped in that canal one time forgetting I don't know how to swim Ricky and Chad Ryan use there pants to get me up

Took the ThundrrrLads to the Father's Day car show. Strong turnout, there was a lot to look at.
This beautiful thing was an original Moon chassis, built up in the 60s and then put away.

He claimed that this hood ornament was an original ford option, I think it would have been cooler if someone swiped it from a greyhound:

Where was it
Montreal Road down at the east end, in the field across from L'Ecole
Seems like rats are having a moment, there was a lot of good stuff. I can't get enough of how they couldn't get enough louvers:

This old boy was pretty cool too, the kids loved the wrap, kind of an urban assault type thing:

We had a punk rock show back there one time. The caretakers kid got the key we plugged in and had a pycobilly show with the sick boys and tiger army. It got shut down within an hour not because of noise but drunken punk rockers

Sometimes I'm convinced we're the same guy.
I had a charcoal rub done of the pinstripe tiki from the hood of my dad's 54 Chevy Business and it's tattooed on my right arm

any pics of the Hillbilly Hilton's interior?

Oh Man, I LOVE these recent photos. I grew up with Dad having an antique car, and going to some local shows. And then him building a race car from the wheels up, so I appreciate all those custom cars. I would have enjoyed seeing those in person.

A couple of hundred kms from the front door to the edge of the Canadian Shield, and it was 5 days in heaven

I like to explore the shoreline with a snorkel and mask so I can see what structure is below, find where the fish are at. Swimming slowly through the shallows, plenty of small fishies, but for some reason, nothing large to be seen. I surface to clear my lens, and swimming beside me, less than fifteen feet away, a beautiful loon! I was stunned, usually they avoid all human activity, so I tried to stay as still as possible. He was in no way bothered by my presence, and dove under the water, and swam right around me to get at the shallows where he was hunting. Must have passed within ten feet of me as I watched him zooming around under there. Afterwards, I had to get out of the water and compose myself, I was literally shaking.

It looks quite lovely and not too smoky. I hope the western forest fires are starting to die out.
Very peaceful I grew up not far from where Mattie shot those pictures. Your seeing a busy day on that water

My dad was an off-road guy, so we went to Jeep things. I never went to a drag strip or a circle track, antique show, or anything like that as a child.

I do remember going to the Seattle Autorama, and seeing the new 1961 Corvair Greenbriar edition with the lovely plaid upholstery. My dad was looking at the new Toyota land cruiser but he couldn’t stomach the price. He ended up buying the 1963 International Scout.

Did the Parkway there and back

Had the place to myself on the way out, but there was a roadie event on the way back. I think they were doing all the way to Cornwall and back, 44 km round trip, with some aiming to do it twice. I rode her bike, which performed flawlessly. Don't judge the saddle, she's been using it for decades.
