Yea, mixing brands usually does that. Some prefer rustoleum, some prefer krylon, others use what's on sale. As long as primer,base,and clear are the same brand you can generally turn out a good rattle bomb.

I feel your pain, I had some serious paint adhesion problems on my zenith bike that I just finished!

first up is building the wheels , but before i get to lacing i planed a little fatty up front

made a little jig in the wait for the buildoff , keeps it round and flat

No, I am sitting this one out, too cold down here this time of year, learnt my lesson last year...

Finally found a place not to far away to sandblast , it was relatively cheap since i did it myseft

COLOR !! good thing the other paint did not hold finally, cause they are much nicer now , i brushed the steal and casting with wool and used Metalcast ''translucide'' blue , Makes for a deep rich blue that should shine nicely in the sun

also , closer look at seat and grips

a other coat or clear and up to lacing!

Thank you i only welded between the spoke holes so i could see where they wer of course i carfuly aligned the 2 parts with the valve hole before
