OK, so I'm trying to build a klunk out of a worksman; singlespeed, drum brakes front/rear, some bmx stuff. I ordered a m2600/tall cruiser/20"/dual straightbar/whatever you want to call it from pirate cycles; I was oing to use that for the klunker.

Now, granted, I didn't even get the frame yet, but i'm starting to second-guess it a little bit. I'm thinking the regular 18" INB frame would look more proper, and more importantly, might be better for off-roading due to standover. I had originally wanted to use the 20" m2600, to keep the amount of seatpost more reasonable, but i'm thinking that using a piece of 13/16" aluminum stock (like alan bonds recommends on his site) will solve concerns about the post bending. FWIW, i'm 5'11", and weigh about 240lbs.

So, I'm thinking i might order a INB complete, or look for a used frame, and just build the m2600 as a regular cruiser, since i'd like one of those too. I'm not going to do anything til I have the m2600 in-hand, maybe even build a mock-up for inspiration, but i wanted to ask the forum for opinions...

basically, i'm asking, for a klunk build, should i use a frame like this:

or, this:

I`d go with the INB frame for sure...lines are much nicer, and it better captures the original look...

Yeah, there's no doubt that it'll look better/more authentic. I was thinking the taller frame might handle trail-duty better, but i'm not entirely sure if that's the case. I think i'll build a classy townie out of the m2600, and get an INB for the klunker project. I'm reckoning that a SS klunker'd be perfect for riding trails in the jersey pine barrens. Anyone else have an opinion? Or, better yet, a pic of a klunkerized worksman? :)
