How do you soften a leather seat?

I use Brooks Proofhide for good seats (my nice Brooks) and Lexol in the little plastic jugs for my not so good seats. I'd be inclined to try Lexol on that since it looks borderline in terms of revival capability.

On old, dry leather like this, I wrap the seat in aluminum foil then pour in the lexol leather conditioner. Make sure it works its way all over the surface and then button it up. Let sit over night or longer. It may require a few applications to soak all in an soften but it should eventually get there.
