Older JC Higgins frameset. Lightweight with generator (?) bracket built into the fork.Cool decals :mrgreen:

man really a good find Mark. Its in really good shape. Where do yall find the sears catalog pages for old bikes that seem to keep showing up? :roll:

and added the bars I cut down for the spacebike build..
The rear fender looks original.
 
Just get you a road bike seat and then list it on the CL for $200 like all the other prospectors. :mrgreen:
 
cool jch! all i could tell you is that is austrian built (probably by steyr) and i have one too.

coinincidently, that is my other 63' jch in the background of the 2nd pict.

this is def a beater bike with a sachs-dreigang torpedo 3speed hub/coaster combo. i love thoses 3speed with coasterbrake hubs cuz it kills two birds with one stone, brakes and gears. seem to be nice bikes, but i am not a fan of the cottered crank.
