I’m super bummed my July schedule just didn’t work out to hit the deadline, but I didn’t want to rush this thing.

I plan on using this and enjoying this bike for a long time so I’d rather take my time and get this guy 100% the way I want it with no compromises.

I do think I’ll get this thing done in the next 2-3 weeks.

You need a bench grinder with a polishing wheel and some metal polish. A lot of hardware will polish up surprisingly well. That paint job really pops!

I’ve had good luck with vinegar and foil…. The headset cups actually have some peeling chrome.

It’s all good…. A little patina can’t hurt!

Meh….. I log most of my miles on a 39 pound Trek 3900….

I just weighed this guy. It’s not that awful yet.

-as is, it’s tipping the scales at just over 12 pounds.

Definitely heavier than most of my other recreational bikes.
