I like the listings that have photo of a whole bicycle, but then go on to say that the price is only for the frame and fork. It will cost extra for the tires, handle bars and seat. Or how about the one that puts in the stock photo of a bicycle and then say it is a different color and there are replacement parts. Just give me a photo of the bicycle of how it looks now.
This is what I mean. "This is a 1984 model and is all stock with the exception of the following: handelbars, stem, shifters, brake levers, tires, rear derailleur, chain, and cassette." What is left?

Beautiful Miyata 1000 Touring Bicycle in Superb condition. This is a 1984 model and is all stock with the exception of the following: handelbars, stem, shifters, brake levers, tires, rear derailleur, chain, and cassette. The current derailleur is a Shimano Deore XT model RD-M735, brake levers are Shimano SLR, Diamondback stem, SR Sakae power bulge handlebar, Suntour Winner 13x32 cassette and freewheel. It is a 60cm frame size and dark platinum color.
That said, I have the original 5 gear cassette, rear derailleur, shifters, cables for the brakes and shifter, and chain.
I converted to a 6 speed cassette to make it a 18 speed and upright mtn. style handlebars for my back.
Also have the original owners manual, bill of sale, and factory brochure.
I bought this new and spent more time tinkering than riding and it MIGHT have 100 miles on it!!!
The Miyata 1000 of this vintage is considered by most to be the best off the shelf touring bike ever made.
