I think you are the "beast" or at least an animal for riding the single track holding the camera :shock: 8)
The blacked out components sure look cool on your Heavy Duty

Thanks Steve. That last pic was taken in dark with some night setting on my camera. I also tweaked it very slightly on the computer.

Latest ride was a group ride yesterday.

soooo, did the fat tires seem to smooth out the bumps and get thru the loose parts better than regular tires?

Great to see that photo of all those people and families riding together. I wish we had more bike lanes like that in more cities.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Thanks to my wife for being a good sport.

Yesterday I rode the Beast on another abandoned railroad bed 14.5 miles out and back.

It's what I call an "unimproved" trail. Only the ties and rails have been removed. Still has the original ballast for the surface. Beast handles it well.

Rode to the casino yesterday. It's about 17 miles round trip. Terrible headwind coming home. Having lighter pockets coming home helped though.
