Not sure of the type of Stingray but got it for cheap money. Let me know what you think and if you know the "style" Stingray? Serial # AJ559131 I did post it in "bike talk" yesterday before I bought it so sorry about the repost. I just got the bike home and now have the serial number

73 by the serial # the skinny apes and the late style stik shift. probably not a krate due to the normal style fork, most likely a 5 speed stingray originally.

id fix it up and enjoy, doesnt get much better than a 5 speed :D

last year for the stik shift too btw.

That my friend is a Stingray FastBack 5 Speed and the last year (73) the FastBack used the stick shift, in 74 they started using a thumbshifter.

That is not a FAST BACK Fastbacks had skinny tires and wheels like a speedster. that bike has a 20x2.125 tire on the back and a 20x13/4 on the front

Wow now I have a dilemma! I know its a Stingray fellas but knowing the style is crucial should i decide to restore. what to do what to do

BankerRat Listen to me and ratina it is a FIVE SPEED FENDER LESS STING RAY. o.k. Tony
I think what he's trying to say is this is the model. It's not a krate, a picker or anything. It's a 5speed stingray. Not a deluxe. It's a 5speed stingray. Basemodel.
