This stuff works great for sealing bike tanks. Second coat in, no red on any seam. Sealed it up well.

Found these at the local hardware store for under a buck each last weekend.




Made it to where I could mount this.

They set a square flat surface to spin the nuts down on, saw those and knew they could do the job ;-)

Was over 80F at 5:30 am, painted early, monsoonal moisture this afternoon didnt stop it. Already dry to the touch.





Assemble these on sunday.

Sitting here this morning thinking about what to put together, I rolled the bike out and hand tightened some things on it.


I want to get the tank into primer today. Getting close. A few more hours of sanding yet Togo.

Got a little done, sanded another few hours, still more to go.

That new hd chain was a pain to pull a link outta.


Still got throttle, clutch and carb to put on. Then everything is wait in on me finishing the tank..

Picked up a neat little bracket at the hardware store, a double sided amber red, an LED 1057, A tap, and a long tapered pry to swedge out the hole.. 10hearing aid batteries in a box.

Got the Speedo mounted




Was having problems with sprocket bolts clearing the coaster brake arm.



Problem will be solved as soon as I true this up.

Sunday morning sitting her looking at the bike, I hung it special for the new hub fitment. Its gonna be hot and muggy today in vegas, maybe thunderstorm in the late afternoon for a minute or two. Sprinkled yesterday for 3 minutes.

Didnt get any done on the bike yesterday, spent the day installing a floor in my son's room. Only whacked my thumb twice and forefinger once. Took about 12 hours to do 150 square ft.

Spun this up while drinking the morning coffee..

Later this morning, will wet sand and put final color coat down on the tank.

My dogs approve everything I build. Lost our pug last month to old age, but the lab Mix and Dane are continuing the approval of my builds... :-D

So close, but still so many fine details left. I rode it around the little block tonight.

Clutch pulled the full way cuz not finished hooking spark to the engine yet...


more painting yet todo.(rainy and moist).. stand needs more work.


got hub and chain mounted, tensioner needs to be taken off and given a few custom whacks with a sledge.

I can feel the end creeping up, hope I cam finish in time...
