Nothing wrong with riding a build off bike!!!! Just give them a ultra cleaning when you get ready for pics. They aren't dirty, that's just road patina!!
i actually managed to gain enough for comfort by throwing my spaceliner stem on it for a test run. The stem I’m using sets the bar too far forward. So now I’m hunting a new old stem!View attachment 130618
I like this build, want to see you keep going with it.
Frame length, consider if youre sitting in the low area of the banana seat, youre pretty far back on the frame.
Move the seat forward by flipping the guts around, or moving the post attachment point back on the seat base. This will move your butt/ body forward on the bike.
A different banana seat may be the solution - before spending any cash, throw a regular seat on the post you have and test ride it to see if the frame feels right with you moved forward.
If you had a taller sissy bar you could tilt the seat forward to move your body forward as well. The 20" frame banana seat and sissy may be causing all the issue with riding position.
If any of this works and you like the frame and forward seating position. See if you can mount the 20" banana and sissy on the seat stays instead of the drop out, youll gain height on the sissy bar and can move the banana seat forward. Either a clamp on mount or drill thru the frame. A spacer that matches the seat stay radius and sissy radius at the correct angles would tighten it all up.
